Apple recently updated its list of vintage and obsolete products. The 2013 and 2014 iMac models are now listed as obsolete and no longer eligible for repairs.
The obsolete Macs include the 21.5-inch iMac, 27-inch iMac (late 2013), 21.5-inch iMac (mid-2014), and 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display (late 2014). The late 2014 27-inch iMac was the first iMac to feature a Retina 5K display. At the time, Apple’s Phil Schiller said, “This is the best Mac we’ve ever made.”

Apple states that products are considered obsolete seven years after they were last sold. All hardware service is discontinued for obsolete products, and service providers cannot order parts for these devices. The 2013 and 2014 iMacs will no longer be repairable using parts from Apple.
Apple also added the Apple Watch Series 2 (released in 2016) to its vintage list today. The vintage product list includes devices that Apple stopped selling more than 5 years ago but less than 7 years ago. Apple provides service and parts for vintage devices for up to 7 years or as required by law, but repairs depend on part availability.
