This year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are virtually flawless, and one of their most attractive features is the camera. The iPhone 7 boasts a single 12MP camera, while the iPhone 7 Plus features a dual-camera system with two 12MP sensors.

Of course, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the best iPhone cameras Apple has ever produced. One of the newest features in the cameras of both iPhone 7 and 7 Plus models is the image signal processor (ISP) that Apple integrated into the powerful A10 Fusion chip. Whenever you take a photo or video, the ISP can simultaneously process 100 billion operations, detecting object details and creating the best possible image.

The new camera system also improves autofocus, white balance, and delivers real-time effects (on the iPhone 7 Plus). The ISP only needs 25 milliseconds to calculate and produce perfect results for your photos.
The True Tone flash has also been improved. It’s a combination of four LEDs, 50% brighter and producing more natural-looking light than its predecessor.
iPhone 7 Camera
This is an iSight camera with a six-element lens, a 12MP sensor, and incorporates optical image stabilization similar to the previous iPhone 6 Plus or 6s Plus. The new mechanism allows it to capture exposures up to three times longer than the iPhone 6s.

The f/1.8 aperture captures 50% more light, meaning you’ll get much brighter photos in low-light conditions.
iPhone 7 Plus Camera
The iPhone 7 Plus camera combines two 12MP sensors. The main sensor is a wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 aperture, similar to the iPhone 7, while the second camera is a 12MP telephoto lens with an f/2.8 aperture. This gives the iPhone 7 Plus 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom for photos, and 6x zoom for videos.

Additionally, the combination of two lenses allows the iPhone 7 Plus to simulate a depth-of-field effect, enabling portrait shots with a blurred background, creating depth similar to what DSLR cameras typically achieve.
Selfie Camera
The FaceTime camera on both new iPhones is better than previous generations. It features a 7MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture, automatic image stabilization, and Full HD video recording.

With these new features and comprehensive upgrades, many tech experts believe the new iPhones will lead the way in smartphone camera quality. Let’s wait and see.
